Mustang Lakes has compiled a few of the most anticipated projects underway in Celina this year, as well as upcoming city events to mark on your calendar.

Celina’s First Hospital

At the end of January, Methodist Health System is set to break ground on the first hospital in Celina at the southeast corner of Dallas Parkway and FM 428.

The 192,000-sq.-ft. facility is situated on a 46.7-acre site and will include 30 medical-surgical beds, 8 ICU beds, 12 emergency department beds, 3 operating rooms – including a daVinci surgical robot and shell space for an additional operating room – a cardiac catheterization lab and 2 procedure rooms, 4 labor and delivery rooms, 2 C-section rooms, and 10 postpartum suites.

Additionally, the hospital will provide cardiovascular and cancer care, women’s services, orthopedics and robotic surgery.

Methodist Health System previously announced the new facility would bring 220 jobs to Celina.

Costco Coming to Celina TX

We at Mustang Lakes are thrilled to be located 15 minutes away from H-E-B’s upcoming McKinney grocery store which is scheduled to open this year! Another popular wholesale retailer, Costco, is also moving into Celina in 2023.

Costco will be located at southwest the corner of Ownsby and Preston, less than 10 minutes away from Mustang Lakes. While the opening date has not yet been announced, City Manager Jason Laumer told Star Local Media he anticipates Costco to break ground in Celina this year.

New Downtown Businesses

A slew of new businesses will open in Downtown Celina this year, including The Silos, a new whiskey and wine bar, Granny’s Sweeties Cakes and Confections, Swirls Bakery, Mangiamo Italian Market & Deli and Burger Fixins.
