The holiday season is quickly approaching! While now known as the Halloween Capital of North Texas, Celina is also a magical place to visit during the holidays. With dozens of festivities planned throughout the month of December and several local shops you can visit to find gifts for the whole family, there are so many ways to celebrate the holidays in Celina.

Attend a Celina Event

There’s no shortage of fun things to in Celina during the holidays! The city’s month-long “Countdown to Christmas” begins on Wednesday, Dec. 1, with Christmas on the Square from 5-9 p.m.

This Downtown Celina tradition is a free, family-friendly event featuring visits with Santa and the highly-anticipated lighting of Celina’s 30-foot-tall Christmas tree. Christmas on the Square also showcases live reindeer, festive family photo opportunities, and entertainment for kids of all ages, including train rides, bounce houses, and more.

The Countdown to Christmas continues through Dec. 24 with a unique event each day in Downtown Celina. Activities include everything from story time with one of Santa’s elves to a scavenger hunt on The Square. Looking for a one-stop holiday market to shop local and cross items off your Christmas list? Tickets for Celina’s Gift Tour go on sale starting Nov. 15. This event welcomes visitors to join in on a festive gift tour during the peak of the holiday gift shopping season.

When you purchase a ticket to participate in the Gift Tour, you’ll receive a festive holiday bag with a map to all participating stores. At each store, you will receive a special free gift to fill your bag and can enjoy shopping for all of your loved ones while enjoying refreshments. Space is limited, so keep your eyes out for the link to purchase tickets on the Life in Celina Facebook page.

This year, all proceeds from the Gift Tour will go to the Helping Hands of Celina non-profit organization.
