New Prosper Park with Pickleball Courts Coming Soon

Posted In: In the News

Less than 5 miles from Mustang Lakes, a $20 million planned Prosper park is set to begin construction early next year!

Located at the intersection of Coit Road and East First Street, Raymond Community Park will include eight lighted pickleball, two lighted tennis courts, four lighted baseball fields, a playground, trails, and five multi-use fields.

Park development updates were discussed during the Oct. 24 Prosper Town Council meeting, during which Parks and Recreation Director Dan Baker estimated groundbreaking will take place in January or early February of 2024. Construction is expected to last 15 months with Raymond Community Park opening in spring 2025.

In addition to Prosper’s highly anticipated Raymond Community Park, Celina’s next big park, Wilson Creek Park, is also under development. The master plan was approved this past summer and will include pickleball courts, multi-use fields, baseball diamond fields, trails, disc golf, a playground, and much more.

Wilson Creek Park will be located 12 minutes north of Mustang Lakes at the intersection of Roseland Parkway and Sunset Boulevard. The $50 million project will be completed in phases with the first phase to begin in the winter of 2025 and a projected completion date in the fall of 2026.
